We love game-based learning here at Wowzers and have written quite a bit about its advantages, best practices, and innovations.

Here’s a list of four awesome websites and blogs we look to when seeking to stay up with the latest and greatest in game-based learning.

KQED MindShift Blog - Games and Learning Section

Formed as a joint effort between KQED in Northern California and National Public Radio (NPR), the KQED MindShift Blog is a fantastic resource for innovative education voices. The Games and Learning Section of the MindShift Blog offers a great variety of articles, help tips, and informative lists to point you in the right direction when it comes to game-based learning.

edWeb.net Game-based Learning Community

The team at edweb.net has built a fantastic community of game-based learning industry leaders, top voices, and practicing educators. Membership is free and opens the door to monthly live webinars, a full archive of previous GBL webinars, access to the community discussion board, a review database, and recorded presentations.

Edutopia’s Game-based Learning Blog Posts

You want informative game-based learning articles, blogs, and commentary, who better to go with than George Lucas’s Edutopia? The Edutopia GBL blog posts provide “tips, techniques, and tools that apply the principles of game design to the learning process -- engaging kids and helping educators assess learning.” It’s a can’t miss resource.

Game-based Learning Pinterest Board

The team at games-ed.co.uk has put together a solid grouping of GBL-related links, activities, and articles on their Games Based Learning Pinterest Board. Whether you’re a Pinterest novice or expert, we promise you will not be disappointed with the fun, interesting, and useful game-based learning links compiled on this board.
