Chromebooks Gain Popularity in Schools, but Still Look Up at iPads (via Forbes)

Per Forbes, a recent survey by the National Survey on Mobile Technology for K-12 Education shows a substantial increase in Chromebook adoption (or planned adoption) in schools across America.

education ipad chromebookHowever, this apparent increase still leaves Google's powerful Chrome netbook sales looking up at Apple's tablet giant and EdTech darling, the iPad. The May 2013 survey indicates an astounding 81 percent of schools have adopted or plan to adopt iPad, compared to the Chromebook's 31 percent.

Even with the discrepancies in percentages, the author perceives an intensifying competition between the two devices as more and more schools move toward a 1-to-1 device to student ratio. You can read more about the survey and the findings by clicking the link below.
