Help your students prepare for the Smarter Balanced online assessment vocabulary

Following a thorough review of the available SBAC sample items and practice tests, we identified the ten most-important online testing terms that we feel students must understand (and practice) to succeed on your state's SBAC Online Math Assessments.

When we refer to "online testing terms", we mean interactive actions verbs like "drag", "click", and "enter", i.e. terms that you would only find on an online/digital assessment.

This free resource contains detailed explanations of each important online testing term, including:

  • vibrant images of each SBAC term and how it is used within the assessment

  • written descriptions of what the term asks the student to do

  • additional online assessment tidbits, images, and tips
